Semi-Closed Loop Hydraulic Systems - Injector Application
Closed hydraulic circuits have the advantage that the oil coming from the consumer flows directly back to the hydraulic pump. This allows for a smaller suction line dimension and enables the pump to operate above the self-priming speed. The downside is that a separate charge pump is required, and the components are usually not designed for use with truck PTOs.
With the K-Jet injector, a closed hydraulic system with supply pressure can be implemented.
The injector is placed in the hydraulic circuit before the pump in the inlet. Part of the returning oil is directed to the tank. The K-Jet operates according to the Venturi principle without any moving parts. The Venturi nozzles create a vacuum, drawing fresh oil from the tank while simultaneously creating supply pressure before the hydraulic pump. The K-Jet can be used in conjunction with constant pumps and variable displacement pumps.
Advantages of the system:
- A significantly smaller oil reservoir is required, typically 15% of the nominal flow rate is sufficient.
- The hydraulic pump can be operated above the self-priming speed.
- The cross-section of the suction line is smaller than in conventional hydraulic circuits.
